This qualification allows the successful trainee to act as your appointed person within the workplace, and take charge of any first aid arrangements, including equipment and facilities. If the work environment is small and fairly low risk, or if the workplace is larger but the employee would be providing support to the Named First Aider, then this would provide sufficient information to be able to deal with any likely first aid needs that may arise.
