Managing Anaphylaxis

SCQF Level 6/RQF Level 3

This course is designed specifically for those who need to be able to recognise and treat someone with anaphylaxis. It is suitable for anyone who is already a qualified First Aider.

By the end of the course you will be able to:

  • Identify the common triggers of anaphylaxis
  • Recognise the symptoms of anaphylaxis
  • Assess a casualty’s level of consciousness
  • Place an unresponsive casualty in the recovery position
  • Recognise when CPR is needed and perform it
  • Understand the features of an EpiPen and be able to use one
